OXFORD, Miss. – A federal judge on April 14 granted an order to compel arbitration in a nursing home negligence, medical malpractice and wrongful death cause of action, saying the deceased resident’s daughter signed the arbitration contract and the resident was a third-party beneficiary of the contract for arbitration (Gracie Cook, et al. v. GGNSC Ripley, d/b/a Golden Living Center Ripley, et al., No. 3:10cv018, N.D. Miss., Western Div.; 2011 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 4838).
