SAN FRANCISCO – A federal judge in California on June 15 granted Kindred Healthcare Inc. and several of its nursing facilities dismissal from a class action involving minimum staffing requirement laws and regulations. The judge also partially granted and partially denied a motion to dismiss by defendant Care Center of Rossmoor regarding unfair trade practice claims and consumer protection remedies (Hazel Walsh, et al. v. Kindred Healthcare, et al., No. 11-00050, N.D. Calif.; 2011 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 63231).
