COVINGTON, Ga. — Covington police are trying to figure out how a man ended up naked and bleeding at a Krystal’s restaurant in Covington.
Police responded to a possible robbery on Highway 278 in Covington at about 12:43 a.m., Covington police spokesman Wendell Wagstaff said in a news release.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim laying in the restaurant’s parking lot, saying he had just been beaten and robbed, Wagstaff said. The victim, who lives in a home next to the restaurant, told police he ran to the Krystal’s after five bandana-clad people attacked him at his home.
When officers began searching the area, two additional victims emerged from the woods asking for help, Wagstaff said. They said they were with the first victim, who was treated at Newton General Hospital.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Covington police Detective Michael Tinsley at 770-385-6430.
