Wyoming Facility Seeks Federal Jurisdiction Of Wrongful Death Suit

CASPER, Wyo. - SSC Casper Operating Co., doing business as Poplar Living Center, filed a notice of removal in the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming on May 20 of a nursing home wrongful death cause of action. Citing diversity of parties and amounts in controversy exceeding the $75,000 federal threshold, SSC Casper asserts that a binding arbitration agreement exists to settle the alleged disputes (Julie Rowland, et al. v.
